The garden has been laid out to provide different sitting areas to suit the mood of guests.  Close to the house there are formal flower beds, gravel paths and paved terraces where one can relax or eat under parasols.  Further from the house the lawn, which stretches down to a terraced fishpond and fountain, receives partial shade from numerous large trees permitting guests to unwind in the shade or to bronze in the full sun.
